July Beach Patrol
What an ABSOLUTELY AMAZING first clean! We made a real difference and had such a great time. I’m so proud of this community!! Thank you to @whitecliffsforeshorereserve for the support and @beachpatrolaust for the initiative.
Together we saved hundreds of pieces of litter reaching our oceans, and becoming buried in our earth.
The @3942blairgowriebeachpatrol collected:
55 cigarette butts
31 coffee cups
40 bottles
40 cans
45 pieces of polystyrene
75 pieces of hard plastic
Over 200 pieces of soft plastic mostly made up of chocolate wrappers
2 face masks
And hundred of other random discarded items such as steel stakes, car parts, soy sauce fish, nappies, dog waste in plastic bags and sanitary items.
AND 3 skinks that were living in the trash and have been relocated to appropriate habitat.
THANK YOU ALL! See you for the next one 9am, Sunday 28th August.
