Boatsheds at Whitecliffs Foreshore.
There are a total of 138 boatsheds dotted along the 6 kilometres of Whitecliffs. These boatsheds are privately licensed to local residents who use them to store watercraft and escape the heat on hot summer days.
Looking to buy a boatshed? Approximately 4-5 will be advertised for sale each year through real estate agents. Ensure you monitor their websites to find purchase opportunities.
An annual license fee is paid to the committee and this enables maintenance around the boatsheds to be completed annually and as required, as well as funding various infrastructure and environmental projects across the foreshore.
We are currently developing a “Boatshed handbook" - An A to Z guide of everything boatsheds to assist license holders and the community to understand the expectations surrounding boatsheds and pertinent issues.
Forms
Use the Boatshed Works Consent form to inform us of planned works to your boatshed, this must be completed before any works are undertaken, as per the Whitecliffs Foreshore Reserve Boatshed Policy.
Use the vegetation works request form to request that we complete maintenance around a boatshed.
