Programs for Schools and Scout Groups.

We offer year-round camping for school, scout & community groups. Located on a six (6) kilometre length of Crown Land reserve abutting Port Phillip Bay between Rye and Sorrento, the foreshore reserve provides a wide range of outdoor education opportunities.

When camping on any of our one hundred and sixty-eight (168) campsites situated across three (3) fully serviced campgrounds, visitors can participate in;

  • Water-based Activities

  • Environmental Education

  • Outdoor Education

  • Coastal Walks

  • Cultural and Historic Awareness

In developing your curriculum for the time your school may wish to stay on the foreshore, you may consider utilising the services of our Foreshore Rangers.

Our Rangers are available at no cost to provide talks/tours on:

  • Environmental Management – Litter surveys

  • Local Flora and Fauna – Plant identification

  • Coastal Management – Cultural and indigenous history
