September Beach Patrol

Such a pleasure so spend another Sunday morning with the @3942blairgowriebeachpatrol crew. A mixture of new faces and familiar ones, all so passionate and accountable for the cause.

It was a very busy weekend this end of the ‘ninch. So many holiday makers enjoying the beautiful landscapes and oceans. I have to admit, I expected it to be a mega haul. But I shall now bite my tongue, because although we collected five full bags of litter between the 13 volunteers, it was so much less than our past two cleans.

No fishing gear, only a small amount of polystyrene and PPE, and less plastic packaging. Whether it was our previous efforts or more consciously minded individuals, it doesn’t really matter. Things looked better this time.

Still, our group made a big impact because no one knows the destination of the haul we saved. THANK YOU! We rocked it.
