Friends of Whitecliffs Foreshore Reserve
Our Friends Group meets on the first Friday of every month from 10am- noon, the next working bee is on the 1st of July & will meet in the Whitecliffs Campground. You can also join the Friend of Tyrone Foreshore by contacting Terese Dalman, her details are in the poster below.
A Friends Group is a working bee that meets regularly to undertake a variety of tasks that will enhance our natural environment. These groups consist of like–minded individuals who hold an interest in protecting and enhancing a bushland or foreshore reserve. Regular working bees are undertaken in these reserves throughout the year, usually for a few hours each month. Groups participate in an array of activities from weeding, monitoring and planting.
Friends Groups are a great place to meet new friends, learn something new & contribute to your local community, whilst also being beneficial for mental & physical health. They also teach valuable skills and practical experience in the environmental sector that can build on tertiary education.
