LOCATION OF WHITECLIFFS FORESHORE
The WhiteCliffs to Camerons Bight Foreshore Reserve is approximately six kilometres long and located near the southern tip of the Mornington Peninsula. Our office is located at the Camerons Bight Foreshore Campground on Point Nepean Road Blairgowrie, opposite Langdon Avenue.
The foreshore borders the villages of Rye and Blairgowrie, and consists of many heritage-listed Boat Sheds, the Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron and Blairgowrie Marina, two boat ramps, boat trailer car parks, several public car parking areas and a public BBQ area adjacent to Hughes Rd.
Open to the public from October to the end of April. All other times we welcome school, outdoor education and community groups.
ENHANCEMENT OF VICTORIAN PUBLIC LAND
The Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) is committed to enhancing the value of public land in Victoria. They work closely with committees of management to ensure best practice and that the crown land assets are managed now and into the future.
The committee is a not-for-profit organisation and all revenue generated is put back into the foreshore reserve to ensure the area is maintained, enhanced and preserved for generations to come.
OUR VISION STATEMENT
To manage the Whitecliffs to Camerons Bight Foreshore Reserve in an environmentally aware and sustainable way, enhancing the natural environment while providing a safe and attractive destination for a range of recreational opportunities with improved, well designed and maintained amenities.
