BLAIRGOWRIE YACHT SQUADRON

The Club, established in 1952,  is one of the three largest sailing clubs in Victoria and hosts large fleets of both keel boats and off-the-beach dinghies and catamarans.

BOAT SHEDS

These heritage-listed boat sheds were originally built in the ’50s to house dinghies and tenders. They’re now mainly used for day time recreation and storage.

ENVIRONMENT

The foreshore reserve covers areas with important natural and cultural values, including vegetation, landscapes, aboriginal sites and links with early European settlement.

FIRE MANAGEMENT

The Committee of Management initiated a detailed Fire Management Consultation process with key stakeholders to assess foreshore fire risk factors.

FORESHORE WALKING TRACK

The foreshore has a fantastic walking track and exercise station, perfect for morning and afternoon walks.

LEASH-FREE DOG AREAS

The beach at Camerons Bight allocated as ‘leash free’ is recognised as an important community asset.
